Peyton Reed inherited the project after Edgar Wright walked, and the result is the smallest-feeling Marvel film by design: a heist movie at toy-soldier scale with Paul Rudd carrying the comedy and Michael Douglas adding gravitas. Anthony Mackie's Falcon cameo is the Easter egg that mattered. PG-13 at 117 minutes; great for ages 10+ and the easiest MCU on-ramp for viewers who don't want capes-and-cosmos.
